Cable networks had a strong showing at last night’s Primetime Emmy Awards. Of 26 awards presented, 17 went to cable programs and individual actors on cable shows.
HBO led the way with six awards, including four for miniseries “Game Change.” Showtime captured four Emmys, all for its drama series “Homeland.” FX won three awards, including two for comedian Louis C.K. Kevin Costner and Tom Berenger each won for their performances in History Channel’s “Hatfields & McCoys.“ Comedy Central (“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”) and AMC (Aaron Paul in “Breaking Bad”) rounded out the cable network winners.
FX, History Channel, Comedy Central and AMC are available to virtually all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.
