A six-part series about the exploration of the American West has been scheduled to film this summer, starring Casey Affleck as Meriwether Lewis and Matthias Schoenaerts as William Clark. The HBO program will be based on the book “Undaunted Courage” by Stephen E. Ambrose, and will showcase the natural beauty of the continent, and complexities and tragedies of its discovery.
